This is great! I love the light and shadow. It's very nicely done. But also the texture in the background is really cool. How did you pull that off?

For larger areas I use the charcoal stick sideways a lot, so I guess most of the texture is simply my desk pressing through the paper :) The rest is smudging by hand (and in this case using a kneaded eraser for the light rays).
