FoXcatO's News

Posted by FoXcatO - January 1st, 2011

Hello to you,
I hope you all made it through the holidays and New Years Eve with all eyes and limbs intact.
Besides being the first day in 2011 this day is also the first in the Clock Crew's Flash Flood event which takes place all through out January.
I don't have as much time to make flash-movies as I used to but I've decided to try and find time to contribute at least a little to this event.
I'm going to list my contributions in this post as they come along.

The first one is a little thing I worked on over the holidays. There isn't much to say about it, other than I really enjoyed making it.
The second one is one I've been working on and off on this fall. I know I've touched upon the subject it adresses before, but I kinda owed it to a friend to come back to it.
The third one is also the third part of a series of Short movies I started working on last year. It is VERY experimental and therefore probably not for everyone.
The fourth one is based on a comic I drew a couple of years ago. It might seem like it's just about a stone but actually there is more to it if you take a closer look.
The fifth is about PortfolioClock.

Hello Fellow-NG'ers,

I would like to wish you all a Happy Clock Day, and would also like to
have you know that I've just uploaded my humble CONTRIBUTION to the portal.
I've spend most of the summer working on this film, and so I hope you'll find it dandy and enjoyable.

New Film: "Inside Out" and Clockday

Posted by FoXcatO - April 24th, 2010

Just submitted my latest film, Drown to the portal.
I think this is one of my most personal projects to date.
If you feel like it you can watch it HERE

New film: Drown

Hello Everyone.
Posting to let you know that I just submitted THIS to the portal. I actually finished it back in December 09, but since it originally was supposed to be the official music video for the song it features, I didn't want to submit it to NG before the band decided it was time. However they decided to use another video and to stop existing as a band, and I decided it was time to submit it.
I hope you'll like it:)

New Animation: Dragonfly

Posted by FoXcatO - February 27th, 2010

Hello folks. Just letting you know that I've uploaded the 2nd of my 4 new shorts.
This one is not AS experimental as the first one. However this is (I believe) my first submission that doesn't have any music in it but instead uses sound FX. So in that case you could say that it's pretty experimental. For me at least.
go HERE to have a look.

New Film: The Lighthouse

Posted by FoXcatO - January 9th, 2010

It's been almost a year since my last submission.
Now that I've finished Dragonfly, I decided it was time to work on something new, so I called up my old partner in crime, Nashua and we threw together the 1st of 4 new shorts. It's called Axolotl, and you can watch it HERE

Hello Guys.

This year I again decided to give one of my friends a hand with his Clock Day movie.
You can find it here if you should be interested.
I'm not a Clock Crew member myself but it has been fun to join in on those two projects. I might even help him out again next year.
By the way, while I'm at it, I might as well mention something I've been thinking about: A lot of people seem to believe that clocks only are capable of spamming. I used to think so too once, but I have discovered that some of the CC members actually ARE pretty talented. A good example would be Zombielincoln. His submissions are really great. So if you've got nothing else to do I suggest you go check out his stuff.

Real-life-wise, I decided to quit the CGA class I have been attending for about a year, and join the Animation class instead. It was my number one choice in the first place after all. So now I'm doing 3d-animation which is really my cup of tea. I couldn't stand modelling and all that. It was waaaay too tedious. I want stuff to MOVE!

Now that we're at the subject of me moving stuff around, I suppose I should give you guys an update on what is going on flash-wise.
Very well then...

I'm still working on Dragonfly. Still coming along as slowly as when I made my last news post.
But it's getting there:)

Apart from that I've made a short list of some new animations that I'll be making once Dragonfly is done.

Obsessive Compulsiveness - Still in it's early stages. It's going to be a pretty dark and experimental movie. I haven't decided on a final plot yet (if there is going to be one) but I have sketched out a lot of the imagery for several scenes. It's going to be pretty in a very obscure way.

Drown - Written and storyboarded. The first scene has been animated. I think it'll turn out neat.

Watch This Space - Surreal is what best describes this movie I think. It's going to be really odd and very dreamlike.

I've also planned two short movies: Owl and Light House - I haven't decided wether I'm going to submit these in a collection like I usually do with my short movies or on their own yet.

Fragments - I've been drawing a comic of this name from time to time, and lately I've considered turning some of the strips into a little series of shorts. I'm not sure if I'm going to go through with this yet, though.

Silas The Magic Car - A very experimental movie that I'm going to make together with a dear friend and fellow Newgrounder who uses the alias, Jaywolf. The script is done. Now we're just going to plan out who should do what and why and that kind of stuff. I'm not sure if this movie is going to be Newgrounds-compatible , because we're going to use a lot of different programs to make it. But if it DOES indeed turn out NG-compatible I shall be sure to let you guys know:)

Lastly I'm going to make a couple of remakes of some old movies I made back in 2005. I only had them posted on Newgrounds for a very short while because I was unhappy with how they had turned out. I still really like the ideas they hold though, and think they deserve to be animated properly. Miska and Sunshine are the names of these two by the way.

I guess that about sums it all up.
I hope you'll enjoy the rest of your day (or night)

Hello everybody. Writing to let you all know that I am still very much alive and at it again. In spite of massive amounts of school related work, I am working on a new film.
It's a bit hush hush as it is going to be the official music video for a song from an album that hasn't been released yet.
I've got a really good feeling about this project and it's coming along slowly but beautifully.

Have a nice day everybody,

Hello to you.

I've just uploaded my latest film, Like Poetry, to the portal.
This was in many ways one of my toughest projects to date, though it may not seem like it.
I'm glad that I've finally gotten it out of my system.

If you'd like to lay your eyes upon it, this is where to go:
